Debbie Bellenger is the owner of Body By Definition providing Advisory Services to organizations who wish to add wellness programming to their menu of services and partner with employers.  Her passion combined with her experience in medical wellness and corporate wellness programming have led to a desire to create programming experiences for the 80% who need to be activated.

She has created an online/live Master Class called “Fit Pros – How to Break into Corporate Wellness” and it is live this Fall with the 4th cohort. The Master Class has been accredited by ACE for 0.8 ACE CEC’s, 8.0 CEU’s for the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching. 0.8 CEU’s for NASM and 8.0 CEU’s for AFAA. And most recently it was added to the ACE On Demand Education Library.

Debbie has actively been speaking for various groups in Corporate Wellness including The Wellness Law podcast, the Workplace Wellness Collective podcast series, Vantage Circle Employee Engagement platform podcasts and The Wellness Podcast with Michael Stack.

Most recently Debbie and her business partner, Teany Hidalgo co-created and are delivering employee wellness programs which include, “Wellness Retreat at Work” and “Burnout, Resiliency and Well-being at the Workplace” which will be featured at the Canfitpro 2022 Fall Leadership and Business Conference in November 2022.

In 2021, Debbie served as the Health Management and Wellness Director for Pinnacle Health Management, based in Irvine, CA. In this role, Debbie was overseeing a Health Management team made up of 8 Nurse Coaches, 4 Intake Coordinators and a Care Coordinator. The team delivered health coaching for Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia and other chronic conditions. She also developed an employee wellness program for their own company and their clients.

In addition, Debbie has extensive medical wellness experience both in programming and center operations. Debbie was the first Director of Wellness for two healthcare systems in SC and NC: Lexington Medical Center for 12 years and CaroMont Regional Medical Center for 9 years. In her role as the Director of Employee Health, Occupational Medicine and Wellness at CaroMont she oversaw four business units which included: 1) 13,000 Medical Wellness Center, 2) Employee Wellness Program for CaroMont, 3) Discover You Interactive Learning Center and 4) Community and Employer Wellness Service line which generated $0.5 million dollars in revenue. Debbie was recruited to the YMCA of South Florida as the first Senior VP of Healthy Living for the 9 Y's in the market in Aug 2019 through June 2020. Debbie was the 2017 World IDEA Program Director of the Year award winner and the 2014 Medical Fitness Director award winner of the year. She is a presenter, TRX Master trainer, GX instructor, avid cyclist and loves travel adventures.
