The Importance of Industry Alignment
The health and wellness industry came together during COVID, forming state alliances and lobbying state and national legislators to reopen clubs and provide financial relief. Some efforts were successful while others were not. All segments of the industry need to help the industry rebrand itself so that its value as a preventive measure for disease and chronic conditions is better understood by those outside the industry. The industry must also align to share a cohesive message with legislators about the value of the industry. Doing so will not only improve the industry’s standing with politicians but also with investors and the 80 percent of the population who are not yet members increasingly but who increasingly understand the importance of exercise for their health and longevity. Join in a discussion about what more the industry can do to ensure its brand is aligned with its true value to society.

Becoming a Holistic Wellness Resource: The Key to the Fitness Industry Welcoming in the 80 Percent
A growing number of Americans now understand the importance of physical activity to their health and wellness, but still, only 20 percent of the U.S. population belongs to a fitness facility. It’s time to meet this other 80 percent where they are: burned out, stressed out, lacking sleep, eating poorly, lacking knowledge about recovery and terrified to walk inside your doors. They long for one place to go for all of their wellness needs, but they don’t see gyms as that resource. It’s time to change that. Let’s discuss how to operationalize this opportunity through programming that offers an entry point for this population in the areas of mental wellness, recovery, stress reduction, sleep, nutrition, online courses, coaching and more. Then, let’s discuss how to market to this population so you capture their attention and gently grab their hands to lead them through your doors.
